1. What SealMyApp does
SealMyApp runs automated, read-only security checks against web applications and provides reports, suggested fixes and ongoing monitoring. Results are produced by automated tools and suggested fixes may be generated with AI; they are guidance, not a guarantee that an application is secure.
2. You may only scan applications you own or are authorised to test
- You must only submit an application that you own, or that you have the owner's explicit written permission to test.
- Before any scan we require proof of control of the domain (a DNS TXT record or a verification file). Proving control of a domain does not by itself give you permission to test it; you confirm you are authorised.
- You must not use SealMyApp to test third-party services you do not control, to attempt to bypass our ownership verification, or for any unlawful purpose (including under the Computer Misuse Act 1990).
- We may refuse, rate-limit or stop any scan, and suspend access, if we suspect misuse.
3. How scans behave
Scans only make read requests (HTTP GET/HEAD) within a fixed request budget. We do not write, modify or delete data, and we do not attempt to guess passwords. Where we confirm that a database table is publicly readable, we read at most one row to confirm it and immediately discard the row; we keep only the table name and column names. You accept that any scan generates some traffic to your application and its providers.
4. Payments
- Fix Pack: a one-off payment (currently £29) per application report, unlocking the full report and fixes.
- Watchdog: a monthly subscription (currently £9 per application) for repeat scans and alerts. You can cancel at any time via the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Payments are processed by Stripe.
- 14-day refund. If a Fix Pack doesn't help you fix the issues it reports, email hello@sealmyapp.com within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund it in full. For Watchdog, you can ask for a full refund of your first payment within 14 days of subscribing. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
- Because reports and fixes are digital content supplied straight away, you agree at checkout that supply starts immediately, which ends the statutory 14-day cancellation right for that content. Our 14-day refund above applies anyway, and nothing in these terms affects your other statutory rights.
5. Applying fixes
You are responsible for reviewing and applying any suggested change (including SQL and prompts given to AI builders) and for backing up your data first. Fixes may need adapting to your application.
6. No guarantee
A report showing no issues means our automated checks found none; it does not mean your application is secure. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in connection with SealMyApp is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with its date, and email active Watchdog subscribers at least 14 days before any material change takes effect.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
